  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
*Every time we went on a run and chipped away at the lead, multiple calls went against us.

*Every time we set a hard pick- the refs were looking for contact to call.

*The rockets shot threes from almost half way- Kyle 'Mike' LOWRY was on fiiiirree and kevin 'DRAKE' martin was hitting some crazy shot too(as he often does)

We never got a rythm going. The guys still fought as long as they could tonight which i was pleased to see after a horrible start.
35-6 run by the rockets in the first half. eeeeek.
Our weak side defense when they were driving and dishing was the biggest disappointment for me..Krstic often seems stuck in no mans land and can't decide which player to commit to.
Either way he has been great so far so i'm not gonna rag on him too much.
I did like Rondo's driving although i hope he starts converting a few of those easy layups like he normally does SOON. He also looked a bit more focused on defense.

Plenty of people will say this was a horrible way to begin the road trip but this loss (in my opinion) was probably good for us going into tomorrow vs the Hornets at their home because after watching the tapes tonight and getting mauled by the officials all game they should be hungry for a big win.

Keep the faith and remember the horrid stretch we went through this time last year!

The game got out of hand during that 2nd quarter stretch where the Rockets had a free throw party at our expense. On top of that they couldn't miss a shot and our defense was porous. Rondo is taking bad shots and is not running the offense like he should be. If it's injuries that are bothering him then maybe they should consider sitting him for the last few games of the season because right now he has become a liability.

not surif I understand why tonight's blowout loss is a good matchup before the Hornets' game.

Our defense was often embarrassing. I'm not sure how that is good.

The Rockets dominated us. We were lucky to get it closer in garbage time to make the score look better.

Kevin Martin was hitting clean looks. He always hits clean looks. There was nothing out of the ordinary in that, since he has long been one of the most efficient scorers in the league. If Ray buries shots like Martin, we don't view it as a lucky game. Nor should we do so with Martin. Instead, we need to defend him.

The rockets were on fire in the first half.
We didn't play the best but there was nothing we could do with the combination of their shooting and call after call going against us. Of course this is some of our fault but when 50/50 calls go to the other repeatedly it's extremely hard to build any offensive rhythm.
The rockets do score a lot of points but they don't shoot like that outside all anywhere near as much because they dump it inside to Scola.

It's a good game to get hammered because it emphasizes the importance of beating a good solid team on the road on a back to back @ New Orleans (after losing all back to backs so far). Good motivation to fight for the number 1 seed when the bulls lose to Indiana as well.

The Celtics defense was not so good really.  But it still looked like a game that was meant to be lost.  One of those nothing you can do losses.....

I will say that when they get near the basket, someone should be fouling to prevent the score.  Shaq and/or J.O. will hopefully do that.  But I wouldn't mind a Wafer cut and a Sheed signing....
Is he eligible?  5 minutes per half would help....

EDIT:  yeah, glad our starters sat out most of 4th quarter.
