It looks like Shaq is getting into shape - better than he has since he was in Miami. I think he really is motivated. He knows this is his last go 'round. He respects the Big Three. He respects Doc.

Honestly, I'd hold him out until the last week of March, injured or not. Why use up some fuel when we really don't need to? We hit a soft spot in the schedule and we are deep enough to get through it without him. We can let the new guys learn the system and/or get into playing shape.

Shaq is safe and sound in an "undisclosed location" and we are all on a "need to know" basis....it is a matter of national (Celtics nation) security...no need to panic...he will be available when we need him...

But he came out for a party.  Here are some photos of the slimmed down Shaq on his birthday:

He does look slimmer.  If he stays healthy we won't miss Perk at all, period.

He came here because he saw a team he could make a difference on.  I am sure he watched game 7 and said I could help these guys....

Dont you have to play to be better? I dont get it.

Not if you are Shaq, and you will not be expected to provide more than 20 minutes per game in the play-offs.

He definitely looks quite a bit lighter. I'm hoping that we're keeping Shaq out 'til he gets down to 325 or so, if that's possible. If I had to guess, I'd say he was 350 while playing.
