Practiced with the team today, mainly with Murphy, Kris and CJ..

I dont know why but seeing him in that number is just cool :P

Couldn't take #3 for Drazen, then #33 is retired for Larry... i want to know how he came up with 77.

My assumption would've been that he was born in 77, like with Semih and his 86. It's a somewhat 'common' tradition in at least football (soccer). But since he's born in 83, it's not that.

I got a theory, but it's out there. It's his 7th year in the league, and his 7th professional team (KK Budućnost, Jazz, Cavs, Wolves, Mavs, Hornets).

It could also just be a pretty number? :)

Love the number, (seven is my lucky ... that and thirteen), but I'm not crazy about the player ... it will take a great deal of proving for him to get my endorsement. I hope I'm completely wrong, and that he can add something to the bench, but I have always felt that he was a very half-hearted player ... completely the opposite of what this team is about. Danny's the genius when it comes to that stuff, though, so I'm trusting that he saw something in Sasha's game/attitude that I haven't.

I hope you're right. Is Danny really a genius, though, when it comes to free agents? He has a good track record with trades, but these are some recent free agents he's signed:

Has 466 games on the NBA odometer averaging 16.5 minutes, 5.4 points, under 2 rebounds a game, 1 assist, 1/2 a steal, and 1/5 a blocked shot. Shoots in the mid 30's from 3 point land.

Sounds like a role player to me.

His name rhymes with Havlicek so that has to be good karma. I remember him having two or three strong games against the Celtics so I am not surprised Danny and Doc signed him up.
