I've been seeing a lot of comments about "last year" and was wondering, what exactly did Doc, KG, Paul, et. al. say last year leading up to the playoffs? Links to articles or videos if available, please.

And Doc has said a million times that they intentionally coasted and held players out the last 15 games of the year last year to get people healthy and have them ready for the playoffs. While this year, he has said, is totally different. Most of the guys are healthy and he does not know why they are having the problems they are. Yes, old man Shaq and bad knee Jermaine are waiting on the sidelines to come in and save the day --- I know.

Did he say they "intentionally coasted" before or after the fact? I don't really remember guys being held out until the last 5 games or so.

In the last 8 games(excluding the very last one where all the starters rested), the players averaged:

Ray: 34 mpg
KG: 29 mpg
Pierce: 33.5 mpg
Rondo: 39 mpg

The Big 3 all played about their season averages and Rondo played well above his normal 36 minutes a game.

I just don't see where Doc intentially held out the players last year or gave them extra rest besides Garnett. Doc can make excuses all he wants about last year, but they played with no urgency or intensity (much like now). We were also pretty healthy for the last few weeks going into the playoffs.
