Paul Pierce of the Boston Celtics will defend his title in this year’s Foot Locker Three-Point Contest, which will be held on Saturday, Feb. 19, at Staples Center in Los Angeles as part of NBA All-Star Saturday Night. Rounding out the field are All-Stars Ray Allen of the Celtics and Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Daniel Gibson of the Cleveland Cavaliers, James Jones of the Miami Heat, and Dorell Wright of the Golden State Warriors. Allen won the contest in 2001.

Link.

Pierce, Ray, and Durant give the contest a little bit of star power.  I'm looking forward to it.

The loss record setting Cavs are sending a player to the all-star game.

Dan Gilbert has just guaranteed that the Cavs will win a 3-pt shootout before LeBron ;)

Awesome to see they got Paul and Ray in there.  And Durant is a pleasant surprise too.  Nice variety of players and shooting styles in there.

Now lets get Rondo in the skills competition and it will make for an extremely well represented Celtic All-Star weekend.

Is the final round of the 3pt contest 2 or 3 players?

Seems like a better quality 3 point contest than other years~

Great field.  Really would love to see a Pierce Allen final.

Hasn't there always been more than just six players in the shoot out? Or am I missing something?

Its funny to take a look at previous winners and see where they're at.

Kapono - overpaid in Philly
Peja - end of his career in Dallas bench warming
Voshon Lenard - retired

Dirk,Pierce and Ray are only stars name I see in past 10 years
Can't stop, Rondo!
