Just thinking about Bill Russell and wondering if we could ever see another player/coach.  To happen the CBA would have to be changed, because a coach's salary doesn't count against the cap and it would be a way of tampering, but I think that the ultimate players' coach would be a player/coach, no?

It won't happen again, modern NBA coaches have such a high work load that its almost impossible to keep up with it and also be a player.

Now with the right team you could probably get by with it for a year or two, but that's all.

I could see Tim Duncan or Steve Nash doing it actually successfully. Will it ever happen again though? probably not.

I don't think a superstar could do it anymore. The egos and salaries are too big.   A role player maybe.

How would Stern handle his new rule on player protests with a player/coach??  LOL.

Players get paid so much they don't need to coach after unless they blow it all. I think a bunch of intelligent guys could do it.

I would love to be coached by

Perk
possibly Pierce
Possibly Ray
Possibly KG

Not Baby
Not Nate
Not Delonte

I don't know on Quise
Ehrden is way to early and so is Luke

I doubt it on Von W

If they are a player then all the better
