An NBA spokesman said Saturday night that only Doc Rivers' two technical fouls from the Celtics' loss to the Phoenix Suns on Friday night remain under review by the league, confirming that no further punishment will be issued to Boston as it prepares to visit the Los Angeles Lakers Sunday.

I think they'll stand.

I hope not.

The way Doc told it, it appears that Steve had an axe to grind against Boston.

All I know is that in 24 hours, as long as Boston can insert foot up LA's behind, I'll be happy and we can put the PHX game behind us.

Not going to make any difference now...it's done and dusted.

But what happens in a close game where one team loses by a point or two...and the league later realises that one or two techs that they handed out were wrong. The losing team is certainly not going to get a win added to their record. It just helps players like Dwight, Perk and Sheed...doesn't do much else.

Pointless really, so what if they reverse them?  Of, course, they should get rid of the bad refs who think they are bigger than the game.  Impartialness is the crucial to being a good ref.  Our lads yap more than they should and definitely are under gripes from the Zebra Corps.

They should be reviewing KG's two Techs .. and Nate's ... and Perk's! And why in the name of all that's sacred NONE of the Suns got techs for the same scuffle. That was some of the most blatantly biased officiating, (by Javie, who hates the Celtics), that I've seen in recent years! The time is long overdue when we construct some kind of organization/body to oversee the NBA officials ... their power is absolute and unwavering, and it's just plain wrong! :P

We have to pick our battles carefully. Having a game like Phoenix become so ugly, basically unwinnable and the unsportsmanlike conduct that follows frustration of not being able to reverse poor play ......

This is actually good if we get it out of our system, players and coaches talk about it, it can become a teachable moment. I know most of us blame the officials and rightfully so, but we are never going to win that battle.

The main thing is to get over it and move on. If our team stays fixated on this type of thing then the league will continually rule against us. It becomes our reputation and therefore a character issue whether deserved or not. If we move on, they will as well. The bad officials will always be around, we just gotta deal with them.

34% of the technicals this season have been rescinded after the fact.  This tells me that the refs are using poor judgement in games.  Stern should address this.  As has been said, they can take back a technical but in a close game they can't undo the damage that was done to the team in that game.  It's way past time to take the officiating out of Stern's hands and totally revamp the system.

Kind of like Baby's flagrant against Atlanta last year?

I'm shocked, considering Stern's standard $25K fee for insubordination.

Frye got a technical for the scuffle.
