Boston sends Big Baby and Erden to NY for Anthony Randolph and Wilson Chandler ( or Bill Walker if Chandler is to much ).  NY will be getting a solid/established backup for Amare and Erden would prob. log in strong minutes for them at the Center position.  As for what they are losing, chandler would be a loss, but with there persuit of Melo maybe not that much,  and i remember reading that Randolph is in the dog house over there.  As for the C's Chandler would fill in nicely as our 6th man and Randolph although would be a downgrade to Davis now I think he has a much higher ceiling and could benefit greatly by playing behind Garnett and learning from him.

I dunno if the Celtics are willing to give up Erden so easily. Other than that, while this seems like a thought out trade idea, I don't know if it makes us that much better. Chandler probably improves our wing depth, but downgrades our depth in bigs, I dunno if I wanna give up two young bigs just for one, either...

Davis has probably hit his ceiling.  Chandler will be an all-star next year or the year after that.

With the way our centers look right now I don't see Erden going anywhere.

They already have Ronny Turiaf to play whatever minutes Amar'e doesn't log at C. The Knicks are pretty committed to small ball, they don't need two more players who'd play C for them.

Replacing Bill Walker instead of Chandler completely changes the deal. I mean Walker isnt half the player Chandler is playing like this year. Plus at least Baby can provide us some stability and size off the bench. He is consistent. Losing the size of Baby and Semih hurts us, Randolph is a project and chandler doesnt replace the size we give up.
