looking like the east will be a 2 team race...i almost would rather boston finish second and the heat first...that way miami would have to play orlando in round 2

Knicks up-tempo game really played into Miami's hands.  Amare was brutally bad as well.  Terrible, terrible D and had a lot of trouble scoring once Miami pulled Big Z off the floor.

Landry Fields did a heckuvva job on Wade in the half-court though.  He's got Scal's defensive footwork and intelligence, with rebounding ability, cool-headed offensive decision making and moderate quickness to boot.

I have to say I loved seeing the Knicks get handled.  New York fans getting big heads after a solid winning streak... they think the Celtics-Knicks rivalry is back?  Please.  They chant overrated at Bosh? As he plays well against them? The real overrated thing is the Knicks.  And all that talk about LeBron not going there because he couldn't handle playing in MSG or something, give me a break, he plays great there and did tonight.

Spike Lee before the game was saying, in regards to bringing Carmello to the Knicks, "I hope they don't gut the team to bring him here"... I understand the sentiment and they shouldn't gut their team but don't overrate what you have either.  They won't be legit until they trade a few pieces for Melo, and then they have a start.

You're right on, you are not going to beat the Heat playing up tempo with bad D, because they play pretty good defense and they are so hard to cover in transition anyways.  Bad combination for the Knicks.

Fields has been a pleasant surprise.  He definitely didn't shut Wade down but he did do a solid job.  He's good on the boards and solid all around.  Promising player for sure.

Not much of a surprise tonight. You don't beat the two big dogs by trying to run at them.

The Knicks play right into the Heat's hands with their uptempo game. You beat the Heat like we did, slow it down, force them into the halfcourt and beat them up inside. Trying to run with the Heat is just not going to do it..

Nothing to see here in my opinon, NYK and MIA are two teams playing in the exact same way.. one team is just better than the other than doing it.

While people will talk about the Knicks being hyped, i dont believe that.. its a good team but i think the real non story here is that the Heat will get to much praise for this victory.

MIA and NYK is running teams and you dont win championships by running (unless its proved otherwise)

Given the age of Boston's team and the likelihood of injuries ... I am expecting Miami to overtake the Celtics at some point during the regular season and finish with the top spot in the East.

Orlando should be second or third depending on how bad the injuries are for Boston.

Chicago will be fourth ... Chicago is a tough matchup for Miami, more so than Orlando (largely due to Derrick Rose). That would be a good end result for the Celtics.

The Lakers won championships running.

The Heat are nothing like the Knicks on defense because the Heat are a very good defensive team.

Knick fans should have chanted "overrated" at their own team.

I don't care for either team.  I hear all that crap about its good for the association when the Knicks are relevant.   Two cities have been relevant to the NBA most than others and bring the ratings up more than NYC, Boston and LA.
