Source : Doc Rivers on WEEI this morning :

Quote
"Day to day, he's getting close... Each time he's worked out there's been some swelling"

As for KG, no news, he will have the MRI today and they think it's muscle related :

Quote
"We do think it's muscle related not the knee, but we don't know we're going to wait and see"

Doc Rivers regarding KG - "I *think* we're in good shape here, but you just never know and I'm just gonna wait for the MRI, but I should know by mid-afternoon or sometime today"

Let's hope for the best!

I also didn't like to hear that there's swelling for Rondo after his workouts..we need him bad but I'll gladly take some losses to ensure he sits out some games and REALLY heals up well.

If Rondo can't do anymore damage to his ankle, I'd rather he play.  And it has nothing to do with a win or loss.  The last thing we need, however, is to have Doc play PP and Ray north of 40 mpg because we are missing so much talent.

Glad my half season ticket package does not include tomorrow's game. Talk about ugly if KG and Rondo are out. As for Doc's comments, I hope he is not made to look like a fool when the MRI results are out. Although he is doing a great job of not being definitive on anything he says, just in case it is serious. As I have said in other threads, however, it is unlikely that the Celtics will be honest about the injury if it is serious.
