Apparently he sent messages and graphic pictures (actually, I guess he "sexted" them) to someone who worked for the Jets.

Here's a couple links: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=Ak_ZNMlGk3TBtE6WbXBkixwdsLYF?slug=ap-timdahlberg-100910

The Brett haters will be all over this.  It will be interesting to see the spin that the Brett lovers will put on it.

Oh, and according to Deadspin, there might be more women...

NOTE/EDIT: I took off the Deadspin link because it links to a video with photos that are potentially offensive.

So far, all the evidence shows that he should have stayed retired.  He had a great year last year and kind of repaired some of his image problems from his year with the Jets.  This year nothing is going his way.

I love wathcing Favre, and I really hope he turns things around, but so far this season and last season are night and day.

I checked out Deadspin. Poor Brett. The guy came up short in last year's playoffs; not it appears he's coming up even shorter.

Brett Favre the media darling. How could he do this to them? It'll interesting to see how the media handle the heartbreak. They spend hours and hours propping up his fake image. WE MUST DESTROY HIM, muwhahaha, muahahaha......

Seriously though, its a private matter. Sucks for the wifey.

As a Packers fan, I had bad feelings about Favre without a doubt.  However, this type of allegation is just terrible.

Whether or not this turns out to be true, this is not entertaining to me in the least.  Yes, it could turn out to be some sort of legit news story if true, but anyone that gets joy out of it is sick.

I'm a Brett hater and I don't see how it's a news story. It's not any of our business, but it definitely makes me respect him even less and not want him on my team even more

Well, it depends on if its harassment or not.  And it matters that it happened while with the Jets, which have had a problem with harassing women in the (recent) past.

I don't know how that affects us in the race issue, but this story def tells us how ESPN feels about Favre.  They've always had crazy stories about whatever Favre was doing and people would watch.  Now this story breaks through and there's only a small story on ESPN that is about to disappear from the front page.  Come on!

There is the argument with Lebron and his decision that no matter what, people watched the decision and ESPN got lots of hits therefore it was the people that spoke about the merits of all the media hastle.  However, I am pretty sure that if ESPN would put in as much time and hype into this issue as with everything else they were doing with Favre, there would be many hits and what not by regular folks (whether they really care about it or now) but this lack of coverage is just making this thing blow over.

It sure seems that ESPN is either showing their biased by not covering as much, or they really do have an influence how people feel about certain things.

I think the obvious conclusion here is that Favre's wife was the intended receiver of those dirty texts, but they were somehow intercepted.

...what?

Hey weird Brett Favre is taking over the headlines of ESPN and all sporting outlets... He is usually so shy and out of the media spotlight.  ::)

I thought it was interesting how Favre held out on his team this summer before choosing not to retire, though now he has Randy Moss as his wide receiver so the Vikings might have another legitimate shot at advancing into the post-season even though they have had a slow start to their season. I still don't think the Vikings will do very well in the post-season though they are a very fun team to watch...

If the woman felt so harrassed and it's so important to the Jets then they needed to come out with this 2 years ago. Not a week before a Monday Nite Football game with him. Gee. I wonder why they waited till then.
