Paul Pierce was stabbed exactly 10 years ago

Of course, when September 25 comes

I am expecting the media(at the least - a newspaper article or two) to cover this infamous anniversary. The state of the Celtics, and Paul Pierce's career in addition, have come such a far way since this event. Pierce has grown as a basketball player, into a selfless person, and he has been rewarded with a title.

I think we take for granted how lucky we are to have a player who's been with the same team his whole career. We take for granted how ridiculously consistent he has been over this ten year stretch. He has not failed to be anything less than Boston's best and most counted on, even after additions to the ballclub to help take some load off his shoulders.

But either way, we can all celebrate his life and accomplishments. The organization is blessed to be have been able to keep Pierce and not lose another allstar so young

Thanks for post, TradeProposalDude. And yes you are right, jdub1660 - we are blessed to still have Paul Pierce with us, after that near-tragedy.

He has been one of the most under-rated players of the last ten years, and has been here in the good years as well as the bad.

Glad that'll he'll be retiring in Green - with more titles, hopefully.

He's certainly been a bright spot for us in spite of the Lewis and Bias tragedies.

I remember that nightmare well.  Reggie Lewis and Len Bias flashed through my brain back then when it happened.  Was like " OH NO NOT AGAIN!!"

Reggie,Len, Bird, Parish, Mchale all on the same team arrrggghhhh it would be banner 22 and counting atleast by now.
