I have always had success getting discounts and such on the NFL Sunday ticket but never tried to do the same for League Pass (which I have never had).  Anyone know if Directv will apply similar discounts to customers interested in getting League Pass?

Call them...  depending on your CSR you may be able to get them to offer you a discount based upon their allotment of credits.  It's touch and go and depends on who you get.  If you are polite to them, share with them that you're wavering on this and provide a solid rationale for your situation (if it's finance related) they are understanding...not always, but sometimes.

It also helps if you are a good customer who pays your bill on time, and also have a bit of a history with them in that you've purchased sports packages (or other extra items) in the past.

I have DirecTv - have been with them for 3 years.  I have purchased the MLB, NFL, MLB and NHL packages in the past.  I had canceled my MLB package this year but the free preview sucked me in.  I called them within 10 minutes of the midnight deadline.  I asked what kind of deal they could offer and told them that I was wavering on this.  She offered me 10 dollars off and I passed and politely said thanks but no thanks.  She told me to wait and then came back with a better offer in which they gave me the movie channels free for 3 months and another 20 dollar discount on top of that.  Doesn't always work, but worth a shot.

Also, a great site to go to is www.dbstalk.com - outstanding site for all things related to satellite tv (best I've found).  Good tips there too...  Hope this helps!
