If the reported Shaw signing is true. We will have 2 very solid frontlines. I like to think we will dominate the boards.

Win the reboudning battle and you usually win the game.

This is my biggest reason for wanting Shaq. The Celtics need more rebounders. The O'Neal tandem could be a major set of weapons.

Except I don't think the O'Neals can play together for long stretches.  But maybe they can?  I don't know.

I doubt they'd play much together. I'm more thinking that when one O'Neal goes to the bench another one comes in with a different range of skills.

You'd probably see KG for 28 minutes at the PF, Davis 20 minutes at the PF.

The O'Neals splitting the center minutes in half until Perkins returns.

When Perk comes back, you've got a 3 headed monster at center and plenty of injury insurance.

  • Rondo = Good
Our bench should be able to score much better now, too.

For the first time in the Big 3 era we'll have a player on the bench who can create his own offense.  Won't need Paul, Ray, or Rondo in the lineup to make things happen because our bench unit will be able to play from the inside out.  This will also make Nate, Von, and Marquis more effective.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

It's funny how people acknowledge that Nate will be much better now that he's "in the system", but refuse to see that Shaq fits the said system as well as a square peg fits a round hole.
