But Kahn continues to speak highly of the former No. 2 overall pick's potential -- in part because Beasley has assured him he's done with dope"He's a very young and immature kid who smoked too much marijuana and has told me tha he's not smoking anymore, and I told him that I would trust him as long as that was the case," Kahn said this morning, during an interview that will air at 1:40 p.m. on 1500 ESPN Twin Cities

Kahn has to be the biggest moron in a NBA front office, why would he even bring this up.
Oh by the way if you think that Beasley isn't going to be doing bong load after bong load in the freezing winters of minny, you must be smoking something yourself .
This is great. Here are my thoughts:
1. Beasley is not very bright to tell a gm that just traded for him that.
2. Kahn is less intelligent than Beasley for saying that to the media.
3. As long as he wasn't high at the games the only reason it would hurt Beasley's game is conditioning wise.
4. This is a terrible cop out for Beasley.
5. Do I believe he will stop smoking? In a word no.
I gotta disagree with you there sir. If you smoke weed only every so often, then yes I agree with you. If you smoke weed every day, nearly every day, or just on a regular basis period, it kills any kind of motivation, makes you lazy as hell, and turns you into a complete bonehead.
i dont think Beasley will stop smoking either, but I do think being sent out of the environment in South Beach is the first step in getting him to turn his career around. Either that or he just goes off the deep end playing in a nowhere city like Minnesota.
Hey - Watch with the stereotyping now. I smoke everyday. I'm super successful in my field. Completely motivated. Work-a-holic. Educated. Travel the world. Started one business. Planning another.
Just cus you don't have the iron lung, doesn't mean you gotta hate!
That's not stereotyping it's the truth. Most of the time weed does make you lazy and kills your motivation when you smoke it daily.
