The Celtics really have no money except for the vet minimum. Just because Scal and TA don't sign does not mean you have that money to now apply to another player.

I anticipate a budget of UD85M, if past years are any indication.  Regarding the CBA, apart from our free agents, sign and trade, and trading Rasheed's contract, we are reduced to signing free agents at the minimum wages.

Well, we should have a lower payroll than last year. Rondo got a fat raise, and KG got a nice one as well. But other than that, we shed a lot of payroll. Pierce is gonna make a lot less than he did last year (or could have this season), as is the same with Ray. We added JO which kind of neutralizes losing TA and Scal.

Still more roster spots that need filling.
 
I don't think any moves won't be made for financial reasons. What we can make, we will. That's moving 'Sheed's contract, resigning Nate/'Quis/Finley/(Scal?), and some vet minimums.

Of those four, only Nate has a shot at resigning to this roster.  In any case, the C's will be over the cap so they are restricted in what they can do.  Our two rookies will get full season contracts.
