At least Paul and Ray didn't use their minor injuries as excuses like JO did.

Way to throw our new guy under the bus...
If you listened to the interview you heard Ainge say that a lot of players lobbied for us to sign him saying that he was the best free agent big that would take the MLE on the market. If the players are advocating for him you should be too.
Everyone wanted Sheed too.  Sometimes players overestimate former stars.  I saw a poll regarding McGrady a few months back and half of the players still think he's a great player.

How many bigs that were available for the contract Sheed got would have contributed more in the playoffs than he did?

I gained a lot of respect for Pau throughout the Finals.  He had great games, he had some mediocre games but, he played tough and was in fact the Finals MVP.

Ray didn't cost us the game. We were up 13 points in the third quarter and four points going into the fourth. You leave Ray in because the opposing team still has to respect his shooting. Ray on the court opens things up for other players. Having Rondo and Tony in at the same time on offense would have made our offense even worse. Not having Perk was huge. Shelden Williams had to play and the moment was to big for him. A few defensive boards and offensive put back by Perk and we do win.

Also the whole team went cold in the most important part of the game. So don't blame just Ray. Ray won game 2! Pierce got outplayed by Artest in game 7 and that was the difference in that game. Artest was the second best player in that game behind Gasol and he hit big shots while keeping Pierce from hitting big shots.

Kg getting THREE REBOUNDS IN GAME 7 OF THE FINALS was nothing short of pathetic!!!!! It was literally disgusting!!!!

Rondo wasn't the same player we saw in the eastern playoffs either. Have to credit Mr. 6 for 24 but is still somehow the MVP for that I guess.

When you get down to it the strength of our team has always been the starting five because they compliment each other so unbelievably well. When you take Perk out and the other four play below average it's amazing we were in the game. Literally sheer will, effort, and determination were the reason we had a lead. We showed guts, but we couldn't sustain it and compound that with the foul calls in the fourth and it was too much to overcome.

I am proud of the team! With Perk they win, sadly only Celtic fans will remember that, but we still beat La by 39 points to get 17 and still are up 17 - 16 because of that instead of vice-versa.

Exactly.

There was Wallace, McDyess and then a bunch of scrubs by comparison.

(other guys were not leaving their current teams)

And to add to the great job the Celtics did in game 7 despite losing by a narrow margin,Pau Gasol recently told reporters in an interview"game(7)was the toughest/hardest game he ever played in his career".That says something about the Celtics toughness defensively, regardless of not having Perk.

Im still very proud of this team, even with coming up a little short.Ron Artest took care of Ray's thigh in game#3,among a few other dirty plays he got away with.

People need to remember this. They may struggle from time to time throughout 2010 but, they aren't going down without a fight.  We have kept the heart of this team in tact. I gained a lot of respect for Pau throughout the Finals.  He had great games, he had some mediocre games but, he played tough and was in fact the Finals MVP.
I think you misread the point to my post,im giving the Celtics all the credit in the world for their effort...im not one of these people who blame players for the lost. Its a team game, and you win/lose together. However,i have read posts since the finals with posters having their own personal player to blame.According to Doc,he said in his last interview after the season on weei when asked by Dennis/Calahan what does he think was the single biggest problem why we lost...his words were "Ron Artest killed us by haivng a big game offensively".Went on to say how they didn't pay enough attn to Ron in the fourth.
