Most news has been that T-Mac is looking at the Lakers. Should we try and get him just to prevent them from doing it?

Sure...why not?

But honestly I don't see anything wrong in getting T-mac...he would be a great back up for Pierce and can really give us solid mins off the bench.

Starters:
Rondo
Allen
Pierce
Garnett
Perkins/Oneal

Second unit:
Nate
TA
Mcgrady
Big Baby
Ben Wallace (if we could get him for cheap, would be a great pick up)

Bench:
Bradley/ Harangody

We could possibly end up with a starting unit as their second unit.  (And this doesn't even include what we could get with Rasheed's contract)

I’m pretty sure T-Mac has been quoted as saying that he “wants to still be a starter” and “doesn’t want to accept a reduced role”.

That stuff could be problems.

He would be one of the best fits with the FA's that are left out there we could most likely get him for the vet min. and if you ask me you arent taking any chances by signing tmac hes still only 31 and can do alot backing up ray or paul and would be the man to put in if we get any injuries (not hoping so). he would get an easy 10-15pts a game with us and put in good minutes if ever needed

There's a thread about this floating around already; however, I think now more than ever is a time to consider it.  Guys like Butler, Bell, and Morrow would be good fits, but none would be able to become a primary scorer if PP and Ray are out of the game.  McGrady would.  If we can talk him into the minimum, I'd love to give him a run.
