Teams that can challenge the Lakers
1. Thunder: with all the young players getting a year older and better plus getting playoff experience, I expect them to be a top 5 seed.
2.Nuggets: they really had a lot of injuries to their big men during the season. If they're healthy they can compete
3. Houston: Don't sleep on Yao coming back after they added Kevin Martin from Sacto.
4. Portland: They pretty much lost every single big man on their roster to injury, and Brandon Roy was playing hurt. A healthy Roy and Oden could go far.

maybe the Clippers, they have money to spend, and they will have Griffin back next year...who know?

The West getting weaker is the storyline no one has been talking about.

Even this post season, the Celts had to work much harder against better teams to reach the finals. (That's my opinion, anyways).

Kaman
Griffin
Aminu
Gordon
Davis

That's a real good lineup that can get out and run. Not sure if they can compete unless Griffin is rookie of the year material. Bledsoe and Jordan are also good pieces.

I think Sacto is actually going to be better than people think. That is my pick for a surprise team.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Griffin was looking like a 15 and 10 guy right away before he got hurt. It will be interesting to see if he lost any explosiveness. I saw a young Charles Barkley in the making.

I don't like Aminu at the three. I think he is an undersized power forward. Similar to Kirilenko albeit not quite as disruptive defensively but a better rebounder.

The Clippers should be a .500 team but I think they'll be on the outside looking in once the playoffs begin.
