Don't act like you wouldn't be there if you lived in Greenwich, CT.
There is no acting, i would not freaking be there even if i lived next door.
In my opinon being there supports this kind of circus and its against everything i like about this game, i hate the politics and the media circus surronding the NBA but i hold the game very dear to my heart.
Lebron James is a cancer on the NBA promoting me before we..
Do you know how much attention this is giving the league even if we don't like it. It's July 8th and there is this much talk about the NBA this is good for the league no matter how much we don't like it.
That depends on how you look at things.. if you think that any PR is good PR, then i can see your point but its a point i do not share.
I completely agree with Dybdal. All this hype plays into what I hate about the NBA. It has become a circus where individual play (mostly by guards) comes at the expense of team play. Where superstars play by one set of rules, and the scrubs play by a different set of rules. Stern seems to want to encourage this, and, in my opinion, it is all to the long term detriment of the league.
I don't watch the dunk contest for the same reason that I don't plan to watch tonight's event: it disgusts me. The difference is that I do care to find out where LBJ goes, just like I care about where Dirk goes, Amare goes, Wade goes. What I don't like is the awful commercialization of it. Honestly, I find it disgusting and disheartening.
