3 questions for LeBron

Here are the three questions that I wished Wilbon (or anyone) would have asked LeBron last night.  In fairness to Wilbon, he *touched* on the Chicago question, but tiptoed away from it and didn't press LeBron.  I'd like someone to press LeBron on the following questions:

(1) the Chicago question: "LeBron, you say you chose Miami because you want to win a championship.  Then why not go to Chicago? There are two All Stars there, and a bunch of very good role players.  Why do you feel that you have a better chance in Miami?  Did you not want to go to Chicago because you were afraid of not measuring up to Michael Jordan?"

(2) the pay question: "LeBron, Miami created a lot of cap room to sign the three of you, but not enough for you all to get max contracts.  Will you each get the same amount of money, or will one of you get a max contract and the others less money? If not equal amounts, why?"

(3) the "Decision" question: "LeBron, what we have tonight is unprecedented in the history of sports: a free agent using a one hour special to announce his free agency decision.  Why choose to do it this way?  Kevin Durant announced his choice via twitter.  Why have a special dedicated to the announcement/decision?"

I think a version of #2 was asked, and the answer was that he didn't know all of the financial details, but that all three players were giving up some money.

As for #1, my guess is that it comes down to trusting the Miami organization more than Chicago, and to getting to play with a close friend in Wade.  I'm sure that the weather and the beneficial tax situation helped, too.

Regarding #3 . . .  I'm sure Lebron would have given an answer about the Boys and Girls club, but we all know this was about ego.

As someone who hates cold weather, I have no problem with the fact that he'd rather play in Miami than Chicago.  And I have no problem that he struck up a friendship with Wade and Bosh and followed through on a decision to play together....

Like everyone else I have huge problems with the way he's gone about the whole thing, and so I think question # 3 would have been very interesting.  #3 would also have been good in the sense of not just questioning Lebron but the media's role in what Lebron has been doing.  Maybe that's why it didn't get asked.  ESPN likey....

In regards to #1 he made the right decision without a doubt.  Can someone explain to me where people are getting this concept about Chicago being a contender?  The same 'bloggers' that are parroting this concept said the same thing about the Clippers and the Baby Bulls in fact just a few years ago.  This is LJ story all over again.  Please win 1 playoff series first.  Throw in Rose being considered an elite NBA PG with the court vision of SG.

 It's like no one ever learns from their past mistakes.
