Anyone else think Lebron in Chicago would actually NOT work?

I can see spacing as a huge problem. The Bulls best 3 pt threat, the guy that extends the D, and  gives space to teammates is....

Ray Allen?  Yes, they still need to find a way to fill that hole.  However, they would have a heck of a headstart over everyone else, and still have a nice asset in Deng to use to get that last piece.

It is too bad that they unloaded Hinrich instead of Deng, though; Kirk would have been a perfect fit.  Can play the 2, can handle the ball, can shoot it, scrappy defensive player.  I like Deng.  But he's pretty definitely a 3, and a little less complementary to LeBron.

Couldn't they (theoretically) do a S&T with the Wizard, if Washington wanted Deng they could absorb his contract (since they're under the cap) and send a signed Mike Miller back in return.  Think their only real issue would be building a bench. 

I think that would be an intriguing deal, if Washington has any interest in Deng.  

They could also offer Deng for JJ Redick and Gortat.

Or how about Deng for Jason Richardson?

Or send him to Portland for Joel Pryzbilla and Rudy Fernandez

I just want to see how much of this Lebron 5 on 1 stuff in the playoffs had to do with Mike Brown and how much of it had to do with Lebrons ego.

....  and how much of it is due to LeBron's teammates generally sucking.

I know 'Bron's got an ego the size of Manhattan, but the dude's racked up too many assists in his career to make me think that he wouldn't make it work with Rose and Bosh.  But, those guys are both clear #2s behind him; I'm less convinced it would work with him playing alongside Wade.  He'll share the ball, as long as it's clear that it's HIS team.

I like that (Reddick/Gortat).  Two birds, one stone.  Reddick would be good enough to start on that squad, he wouldn't have to be more than a great role player.  Gortat's a luxury for Orlando, which is still ultimately a small-market team.  And, Deng would be a good fit.

Under the current system, Chicago has Rose's "Bird Rights" and would be able pay him the max regardless of what others are making or team payroll. It's really the question: "How much will Chi pay into the Luxury Tax?" And in that market the sky is the limit.

However, The new CBA is looming so that could change things.
