TP for the thread, have always loved Perk and his lunch pale. I hope he stays with the team for a long, long time. He brings to the game what so very few NBA big men currently do: toughness by the boat load.

Wishing him a full and seedy recovery back to full health. One good thing about this injury for Perk is that his game is in no way predicated on speed, quickness or explosiveness. He should be able to do everything he has been doing at the same level once fully recovered.

Great thread.
Let me climb on board and give the OP a TP.
Perk is very underrated.  The fact is that the Cs would not have even make it to the Finals were it not for Perk.

Celtics fan for life.

Always been a huge perk fan since his days as a rookie getting himself in shape. Perk is my favorite player on the team even when he is frustrating.

Get well Perk and let's win it for him boys..

Man, you just feel so bad for the guy - whether you like him or not.  I'm not a Perk fan because of his lack of offense, committing stupid fouls, thuggery, etc., but I do wish him well and hope that it's nothing too serious.  I also acknowledge that we wouldn't have made it this far without #43 - which is kind of sad when you think about it due to his severe limitations.  Still, even though I think that he could bring us a nice draft pick if traded, I won't kick a guy when he's down.  Get well soon.

Thanks, Perk.  Wouldn't have made it this far without you.  Hopefully you will be holding the trophy tomorrow.

Perk has been my favorite player since his rookie season.  I remember in his early years I would say that Perk was going to be a top center in the NBA and being told I was crazy.  Perk's contributions don't always show up in the box score.  Setting picks so teammates can score and boxing out so teammates can get rebounds never show up in the box score, but that's the work in the trenches that wins games. Perk's job on this team was not to score, but to play defense and he has done that as well as anyone in the league.

Perk has played injured and done everything he can for this team.  Now he can help the team by serving as inspiration for his teammates to win for him.    Perk is one player who we will never question his toughness, his heart or his willingness to do whatever it takes to win.  I love Perk.  Get well soon big guy.
