Celtics poor play effecting 2k10

So I am playing Nba 2k10 on 360 in Association mode, and b/c of the sorry play by the Celtics in game 3(more of Pierce/Ray) my team can't hit a wide open jumper. During the entire playoffs, my team has been bombing 3's and scoring 110+ppg, now I'm lucky to hit a layup on a 3 on 1 fast break.
Games are becoming too realistic aren't they?

I don't play 2k10 (as the Celtics) while the Celtics are in the playoffs because I feel like I'll jinx them.

Once the Finals are over, I'll probably continue my association (where I'm in the ECF against the Magic) and finish it up the way I hope things are going to finish up in real life (but probably won't).
