I don't think Dwight is on his way to becoming one of the best Centers in either peak or career value. We discussed this in Roy's where does he rank in the last 30 years thread, and he was in the 5-10 range (by consensus.) Throw in the guys like Wilt, Old School Kareem, Russell and he's not going to be top 10 all time at his position.
He's got to be a better free throw shooter, Shaq could miss all those free throws because he was otherwise so efficient. Dwight not so much.
I think ORL puts way to much emphasis on running offense through Dwight. I guess when Carter is the only other guy you can call a first option you have no choice, but they'd be better off if Dwight was a second option, he's unstoppable once your center has committed to help someone else.
