They always start the Finals on a set date.  I think it's June 3rd but not sure.  The networks (ABC) need to figure it into their programming.  Think they might be happy about the way the Finals are shaping up?

very true..although being in Central Ohio...my Cs gear reminds them daily that Boston pretty much ended their franchise!!

According to ESPN, there are two potential schedules, depending upon when things get closed out:

If the Celtics and Lakers end their series in five games or less, the Finals would begin Tuesday, June 1. Here's the full schedule under that scenario:

Game 1: Tuesday, June 1 - Celtics at Lakers, 9 p.m. (ABC)
Game 2: Thursday, June 3 - Celtics at Lakers, 9 p.m. (ABC)
Game 3: Sunday, June 6 - Lakers at Celtics, 8 p.m. (ABC)
Game 4: Tuesday, June 8 - Lakers at Celtics, 9 p.m. (ABC)
Game 5*: Thursday, June 10 - Lakers at Celtics, 9 p.m. (ABC)
Game 6*: Sunday, June 13 - Celtics at Lakers, 8 p.m. (ABC)
