[dang]. We'll have to wait at least another year.
I'd love to get him back.
I know his knees are suspect, but TA has come back from two very serious knee injuries and is playing better than ever.
It's obvious that Leon had a lost season this year, but for cheap money, he's a hell of an eighth or ninth man.

Pretty much a no-brainer on CLE's part due to the low cost.

Congratulations to Mr. Powe. Deserves a place in the NBA regardless of the condition of his knees.

He's the epitome of a class act in this league. I wish him all the best.

It was weird seeing him play for the cavs this season (what little time he actually got). His post moves were still incredibly quick but I remember Perk just snuffing out any move he made.

No surprise.  Congrats to Powe.  Hope he lasts a long time in the NBA.

Why are you guys congratulating Powe?

I don't think he's happy of getting his option picked up.

Well put. Think he'd have a hard time finding a job at the minimum? Doubtful.

Why not?  Where else is he going to get a job with his condition?

Anywhere else? Tons of teams have cap room this season. The important part is having choices open, and see if someone coughes-up a multi-year deal or even a 1 year deal for more than the minimum.

Even in his current condition, getting a min. deal would be quite easy for him. In fact, the Celtics would give him the minimum easily if it got to that.

He should have liked to try and get to a better situation.

Powe will NOT be a Celtic Next Season either...

I see no reason to assume that his physical condition is that bad with almost a year passing since surgery.

Right.  Powe hedged his bets and took a contract last year when his condition was very risky.  He got paid to recover basically and now the Cavs get to enjoy a year of having him on the team at a discount.
