Funny thing happened to me recently:

I am at home until middle of the week, Celtics fans are dripping optimism, making plans to travel to Boston at the end of June for a parade, and then I go away on a business trip.  I get back on Saturday, and read post after post that is full of head hanging, soul searching, whining.  What gives?!

Buck up folks, no one said this would be easy!

Here's to a rockin' Garden on Sunday:
LEEEETTTSSSSSS- GOOOOOO.. CEEEEELLLL- TIIIICCCCSSS....
Celtics fan for life.

At the beginning of the series and after last game I would say we have on chance.  I had hop in the win, but after last game it's obvious the rest helped Lebron's elbow and we have no answer.  Peirce can't even wave at him when he goes by.  I'm as big a fan ans any and i will we rotting whole heartedly today.  Just being realistic.

As for Detroit they took the same method as Boston to get the championship's they did.  When it is done they will follow a similar decline.

KG, is a second tier star.  Before Boston he had great numbers and no championships aka Chris Bosh.  Lebron, Kobe, Jordan, Bird Magic, Shaq, Duncan were or are all first tier.

Face it, those type of players are rare.  Durant may be on his way.

I don't get it. The series is 2-1. Lets not talk about it like its over, signed, sealed, delivered, outcome decided. The Celtics got blown out in game 3. Is your memory so short that you don't remember game 2 in which The Celtics blew out the Cavs on their home court? Is that just gone, evaporated now?

Look, those who said we were coasting on to the ECF's after our strong game 2 performance were overstating things, but to now call an end of an era when the series is 2-1, exactly where homecourt would have it, is an equal overstatement. Why don't we watch the rest of the series before calling it over?

I totally agree! (TP) I just do NOT get this kind of mind-set at all! We're down 2 to 1 in a 7-game series and we're deep-sixing this team and throwing away the key?!? Wow! No wonder the crowds are leaving the Garden early if this is the common attitude of Celtics fans these days, (but I pray this is not the majority). Sorry ... I know we're not supposed to have any expectations about how a fan should behave, (as we're all different), but I would respectfully ask that if people are so anxious to put a fork in this season and call it "cooked", long before the series is even done, you would at least have the courtesy to wait until it's actually OVER! I rarely use those little rolling eyes icons, but this is a perfect occasion.  ::)

As I said earlier in the thread, it's impossible to lose three games to the Cavs in one game. Now 2-2 going to Cleveland where we have already proven we can outplay this Cavs team having won twice there already this year and dominated another game there only to give it away with a bad half quarter.

I am grateful for the team we have because I think, right now, when they come to play, there isn't a team in this league that can beat them.

So is this a case of premature postulation?

Hold up. If you're basing who is a "first or second tier star" on whether they won a title or not, then you would have to consider LeBron second tier. Right? And at the same time you would have to exclude present stars Howard, Durant, Dirk etc. out as well. And past stars Barkley, Malone, Ewing, etc. too. It's not logical to use a championship, or lack thereof, as a basis for argument in the case of KG's pre-Celtic days, but then not bring up the same point  with LeBron.

TP of course, had to dig this one up.

Funny how the tables turn and OP was throwing our team off the bus. Thankful for what we HAVE!!!!!!
