Think about it , it makes total sense!

Instead of Fouls that take the best players for each team off the floor (and possibly out of the game if you get 6)  , you have penalty mins and players can only be disqualified from the game for excessive flagrant fouls .

- You don't give them penalty mins after ever foul, but for every 2 or 3 fouls the player has to sit out a certain amount of time ( 5 mins?)

-It would still be 5 on 5 no power plays like in the NHL ,although that could be interesting....

-If your the NBA don't you want the best players on both teams finishing games? This allows the best players to decide the outcome without the Refs interfering .

It just makes no sense to me why players can actually foul out. I want to see the best talent finish games and on the court as much as possible. This still penalizes teams commiting fouls and rewards the teams getting fouled, but it allows a more fair outcome I think.
