Was anyone else amazed at how good Kevin Garnett looked in the first playoff game against Cleveland? After seeing this move, I can't help but think to myself how his knee must be not on his mind at all:

Man.  How long has it been since we've seen that?! Not only beating a defender off the dribble, but a powerful slam to cap it off.  

There is no way we go far in this series without Garnett 100%. He is looking confident and showed his dominant side again in the first game.  I was very impressed with how he looked, and was actually hoping the Celtics would continue to go to him down the stretch isolated in the post.  

Here's to the Celtics rebounding in game 2! Cheers!

He looked terrific through 2.5 quarters. Did anyone else think he got tired in the fourth or is my crappy memory playing tricks on me?

anyone else notice he didn't wear anything on his "bad" leg in the last game? I think that's the first time since his surgery.

Fallguy - KG did look like he was running out of gas at the end there. He is certainly looking 2008-ish, though.

I agree, at one point in the 4th quarter I asked a friend watching with me, why isn't KG in there? and he was....

but overall a good comeback game for him, he needs to be dominant (not necessarily the best player on the floor, but one of them) - especially defensively-  for the c's to move on

We lacked an effective bench, who could not spell our starting frontline at all.

Also remember, Perk got stitches early in the game and had to be replaced before his usual substitution.

Actually, you're right. I'm sure it had to be the fact that he had 20 shot attempts.  I can't remember the last time I saw a single Celtic get that many shot attempts in a game..Definitely the post is more wearing on the body though, so that must have contributed as well.

Still, I can't help but feel optimistic.

Although its not like he didn't try. We though Rasheed would be good, we thought Marquis would be good, we thought Nate would be good... you can only go through so many options.

As others have pointed out, he was '08 KG for two or three quarters and then ran out of gas and turned back into '10 KG.

Agreed. How many times did we go to him in the post in the 4th? Our biggest mismatch is Jamison on KG, who simply can not defend Garnett...

PP isos at the end were what cost us the game. Pierce going one on one against Lebron certainly isn`t a favourable matchup for us. We need to go to KG down low or Rondo needs to be put in a pick and roll situation...
