A Beat L.A. chant just broke out at the OKC game. I get a pretty good kick out of that, man that would make my basketball year if they did.

The Celtics have a better chance of making it to the Finals...but I guess it's possible.

I don't think they're gonna beat LA, but it is a really good situation for an upset.  LA is reeling a bit - Kobe's playing inefficiently lately, Fisher looks old, and Artest isn't doing much on offense.  Bynum is also coming back and will probably be a net negative for at least the first couple of games.

OKC has clear advantages at PG and SF, and one of the best Kobe-stoppers in the league in Sefolosha.  And the place where they're weakest - the front court - is where the Lakers normally dominate but again are gonna have to spend minutes getting Bynum acclimated.

I think we'll see a very tight series, but one where LA takes advantage of OKC's inexperience and steadily pulls away.  I predict OKC goes up 2-1 but the Lakers win in 6.

Well, personally I hope that OKC roughs them up some, but leaves them for us.

I'm still believing that in spite of the apparent long odds, I'll get the series that I want the Mostest ;D:

Boston VS LA. Just doesn't get any better than that. That's just me.

I wish we could play each other more than twice a year.

I think if by some chance we would make it to the Finals and play LA, it would be alot tougher than last time we played them in 2008. I'd love to say we'd kick their you know what, but I think that would be an epic series that would go 7 games. Unfortunately for us, they would have the home court advantage in Game 7 AND possibly the best clutch player in the game today AKA Kobe Bryant. It would be great to watch though.

And that is why beating them in June of this yr would be So Much Sweeter...

Even now, Laker Fans all over still whine about 2008..I had two classmates cry just two weeks ago about Bynum and Ariza being hurt in 2008...

I offered them some cheese with their whine, too.

OKC: Just rough em up, some. If Boston can make it to June, I don't want the somewhat empty feeling I had in 1986.

We were supposed to hand LA a whipping that year, but had to give it to Houston instead.

Keep an eye on how this game is refereed. The story of this series for me will be if they allow artest to manhandle durant. if he's allowed to clutch and grab before durant even catches I think this will be a very short series.I'm going to make a kinda crazy prediction: durant and artest nearly come to blows.

The Thunder are dangerous. I wouldn't be surprised if they shocked LA, or at least took them 6 or 7 games.

Outside C's-Heat, this is definitely the series I've been anticipating most.

Don't really think the Thunder stand much of a chance but finally seeing Durant in the playoffs up against the hated Lakers is going to make for fun viewing.

Certainly will be an interesting series....Phil Jackson obviously stirring the pot with the Durant comments. Phil Jackson is an All-Time Great coach, but I wouldn't get Durant upset.

Phil did make a good point, though..the same one that KG made, about Durant.

Well, now LA's got to deal with him for 6 or 7 games. And Artest won't be able to slow him down, I'm sorry.

I have complete faith that the Celtics can still beat the Lakers in a 7-game series, though we may have a more difficult time taking care of our own conference before we can even start worrying about the NBA Finals. It's too bad that the NBA Playoffs aren't more like playing the slot-machines in Las Vegas because in 2008 we were 'lucky' enough to have to play through three seven game series in a row before we could face the Lakers in the Finals.

Hopefully this time around we can catch a break a few times and not have to play the full length of a playoff series, unless of course we have to in order to advance to the next round.

BEAT LA!
