Weird trade to me, but awesome for the pats.

Mcnabb going to oakland might have slightly improved thier record, and hurt our 2011 draft pick.

Now OAK will continue to suck with russell/ whoever at QB. I approve of this trade.

Skins fan here.....

Not sure how I feel about this.

This is a pit stop for McNabb on his trip to playin in Minnesota in 2011.  He's in DC for one year unless the Skins go deep in the playoffs next year.

Im assuming all the Jimmy Clausen/Sam Bradford rumors will stop b/c this team better draft Okung now, because the thought of an often injured QB playing with no o-line like the skins have isnt a good mix.

According to this, he was traded to the Redskins because he wanted to go there.

And lets be honest, the Redskins will pay him.

Yeah thats the clip I watched too.  It says he chose the Redskins.......over the Raiders.  It didnt say Washington is the NFL team he wants to play for, it said that he preferred the Skins over the Raiders.  Thats not much of a compliment.

It's been mentioned plenty of times over the past few weeks that McNabb wanted to get traded to either Arizona or Minnesota, bc he wants a chance at getting back to the Super Bowl

Uh, Greg. I've seen Okung for four years. One of the most overrated OTs in the draft. Big mistake to burn an early pick on him.

Are you kidding me?

Why would you send him to a team that will play you at least twice a season?

Strange, but if that's what gives you the best value for your player you still make the deal.

It might cost you a game or two in the short term though.

Remember, this is Philly, they should be more worried about fans lighting every member of the organizations cars on fire, if McNabb puts together a nice run in DC.
This is why I can't stand Philly fans....

Ok?  Well then they should trade down and draft him, or another OT.  Maybe Campbell gets traded for picks now.

The point is, they have two big holes at both tackle positions, and arguably another at one of the guard spots.  Someone mentioned earlier, draft one and sign Flosell Adams with the other, I guess Id be cool with that, even though Flosell is a penalty machine.

If this team still drafts Bradford or Clausen and not at least one legit offensive tackle Im gonna explode.  The Redskins ALWAYS ignore their glaring offensive line needs.  Maybe when they draft Jimmy Clausen, they can talk Rex Grossman into converting into a tackle, I'm sure Danny boy would be more than willing to spend whatever it costs to bring Sandra Bullock in here to teach him how to protect Donovans Blind Side  ::)

Well, as a Lifelong Redskins Fan, I believe this can only be a good thing for Washington.

Plus, the recent addition of the running backs will only make that spot stronger.

I hear theyre working on an extension for McNabb as well, so if that ends up happening I feel much better about this situation.

I see it as pretty dumb for the skins. Trading a very high 2nd rounder for a 33 year old QB?  When they had young QBs and high draft picks?

They're kidding themselves if they think he'll get them over any hump whatsoever

Philly should have fired Andy Reid before trading McNabb.  This is a bad move for them in my opinion.  He has not been the issue for them not succeeding.  He's played good football and will continue to do so in Washington.  Now if Andy Reid decides to let McCoy really establish a running game, then maybe next year Philly will have a chance to be successful again.  If not, I don't see them improving at all.  Also, I do like this trade for Washington, they get a 33 year old QB who still has at least 3 years left of high level football in him.
do it

This is why I love sports! What a great story line. I have a feeling this will be covered years from now as a turning point for both franchises.

Im going to mark the Reskins down as coming out of the NFC now for the simple fact that Philadelphia football fans are cursed.
