It think it is pretty clear PP isn't close to being 100 percent from the knee/ankle and now the thumb. I admire his coming out and battling but he looks like he needs more rest. When we get Nate and maybe even Landry....I would consider sitting PP. After the Cleveland game, Boston has some very winnable games that they could afford to rest PP (Knicks, Detroit, NJ, NY, Indy). Obviously he will play Sunday..but after that I would like to rest him until Cleveland on Thursday...Any thoughts?

Depends on what's really bothering him. If its a nagging issue that rest will help, sign me up.

If its just a lack of strength and flexibility still in his knee, then he needs to play through it.

Unless he can hurt himself more, there is no reason to sit Pierce.  Better to let him play through the injury.

Right now, they are in position to move up in the East.  The are within a virtual 3 way tie for the 2nd seed in the East.  Right now, they need an extended time of improved play and wins.  Sitting Pierce does not help this.

His lateral movement appears ok, as he is defending really well lately.  I just dont see him getting any lift.  Whether thats a knee problem or conditioning problem.....who knows?

i am just thinking sitting him in spots...heck even within the game...if we can. i he just doesn't look right. maybe he is working his way back...maybe his injuries were worse than we expected..maybe he needs longer to get back in shape...maybe i thought he was ok....i just hate seing him struggle so out there....esp on offense

His minutes are down this month.  Only 32 minutes a game vs. his season average of 35.4 minutes.

and come May, I think this is a great sign. I was VERY pleased with KG on the second night of a tough back to back. He looked fantastic and he looked salty with energy. Now we need to get Paul back right. Also I think Daniels is still feeling his way a bit. I am ready to see nate out there off the bench to see what he brings

I agree about KG. Couldn't be happier to see him being aggressive. It's giving me hope he really was just injured and it's getting better, and not an age thing quite yet.

If KG can look better, I think Pierce can, too. He should probably sit a few games, though. Foot injuries are second worst behind knees. Or is it his thumb/hand now, too? Either way, rest the captain for a game or two after Denver.

I'm fine with him struggling until he gets healthy.  As long as isn't doing any further damage which is obviously the case since he wouldn't be playing.  If they rest him it will be because his injuries have gotten worse.  Those are my thoughts.

He looked to be in a pretty good mood in the 4th.

Pierce needs to do what Kobe is doing. See how the games go and make a decision. Its quite obvious he is hurting. His footspeed is totally spent right now. Doc needs to get a clue.
