My God its a rough comparison. We cant even have an optimistic fun little comparison without being shot down.

They were a veteran team that got rolling late like we hope to do. Period.

Those Rockets didnt have a young emerging talent like Rondo. That would offset KG's limitations compared to Hakeem that season.

Like the optimism.

I still can't get over how handily that team beat Orlando in the Finals that year.


That was the year Hakeem got robbed out of the MVP by Robinson but his revenge was amazing: he completely dominated Robinson and Shaq in those playoffs. Just made them look like chumps.

Yes, as a matter of fact Robinson was awarded the MVP at the start of the Houston series adding fuel to the fire.
