Maybe Ray Allen plays better now that the trade deadline has gone?

I am very disappointed the C's did not do more today. However, it is what it is. I honestly feel that Ray Allen really was worried that he was going to get moved as a salary dump. Not only would he be upset that he was leaving a place he liked and had success, it must hurt your ego to think that this team, and to a certain extent, the NBA, looked at you as nothing more than an expiring contract, a glorified Theo Ratliff. We all know Ray is better than that (much better) but I am sure the trade has weighed on his mind.

Maybe it is just blind optimism, but I see him picking it up now that the deadline has gone, and hopefully it starts tonight as he drops 40 on the Lakers.

Which he doesn't... I've always found it quite interesting how people can take one play in a game and make it seem as if it was a normal occurrence. Lewis went 5 for 13 for the game, nothing great.

Of course, KG will get driven on more frequently, but the frequency has been completely exaggerated.

Kevin McHale was on Dale & Holey 2 days ago and he talked about this particular play. He said that KG has always had the habit of letting guys get a first step on him so he could make the block from behind dating back to his days in Minny. Now that he is not quite there athletically, he will have to adjust and keep his man in front of him better. I think he can learn from that play and others this season in time for the playoffs.
