Apparently, Luke Ridnour, Joe Alexander, and Hakim Warrick are all available.

All three have expiring contracts.

Ridnour is having a decent year this year. Warrick is still probably a better athlete than basketball player at this point.

I'm not certain, but would a team who's traded for Alexander receive his Bird Rights? Milwaukee failed to QO him during the offseason.

Kurt Thomas, another vet on an expiring contract, also appears to be available. Milwaukee could offer a boatload of cap relief to a team out there, but are they willing to take on long-term deals in exchange?

I am a big Ridnour fan, and think he would take the second unit to the next level, however, I think we are better off waiting for him to be bought out.

No interest in Kurt Thomas. The Celtics already have two backup centers in Rasheed Wallace + Glen Davis who don't have the foot speed to play the four. No need for another one.

Hakim Warrick is somewhat tempting. I'm not a fan of his but he's done a respectable job defensively in Milwaukee and he is a solid bench scorer and he does provide good quickness at the four. All potential upgrades.

Luke Ridnour is a very good backup guard. I'd love for the Celtics to land him.

No interest in Joe Alexander. He isn't able to crack the Celtics rotation. No point in acquiring him. He'll be available in free agency this summer if someone wants to take a flyer on him.

I wonder if he is a buyout candidate. He'd be heavily sought after if so.

I'm of the mind that Ridnour and Warrick would do wonders for the 2nd unit. But as usual -- we have very little to offer.

I would give up Baby in such a deal. Beyond that we'd have to ship one of House or TA out, which considering Ridnour's game I would say should be House.

I would be interested in several Bucks' players, but not the ones they are reportedly peddling. I'm assuming Bogut and Ilyasova are untouchable, and that Redd is currently untradeable because he's injured.

But I would have interest in Bell, Mbah a Moute and Leni-Ukic.

Ukic is gone to Europe. they have no reason to trade Mbah a Moute considering how cheap and effective he is. Bell's got too many years left.

But those years are at reasonable money.

Yeah I don't have a problem with Bell. Mgmt just tends to prefer guys like this on short deals, particularly considering the lux tax.

If I'm Milwaukee, going nowhere this year, I seriously consider letting them all expire and use the money elsewhere.  Ridnour's the only one I'd consider resigning.

That bunch won't land anyone for them that could provide a nice core with Bogut and Jennings.

If I'm Milwaukee, and I'm in 9th place in the east, rebuilding with a young team, and losing money like a young sailor, I need to make a decision.  Do I try for the playoffs for the experience to develop the roster I have and try to make some playoff cash, or do I try to position myself to improve the roster with other players this summer.  That's the question.

Or, can I do both?  Then, I'm looking to trade for expiring contracts that actually help my team this year, without a burden next year.

Ray Allan fits the bill, but they don't have enough to offer that would still leave them competitive this year, or make it worth giving up Ray.  They could get into a 3-way, though.  I'd very gladly take Ridnour and Delfino, then look to other teams for more talent.

If they decide to tank the season, I'd trade our bench for Delfino, but probably settle for Bell.

I have to disagree. Why would he choose Boston (backup Rajon who will play 36-42 mpg in the playoffs) over LA (weather, possible starter, definitely more minutes) for the same money if given the choice? He can't think we're a better title chance as an objective player.

Better title chance + Better weather + more playing time/maybe startinge = LA chosen over Boston.

So for him to end up here we'd have to trade.

I'd wager a fair sum that Kurt Thomas gets bought out and signs somewhere (here?  San Antonio?) for playoff depth.  Haven't seen him play in forever, no idea if he's anything left in the tank.  But, if they're trading BBD and if Doc's not going to play Landlord, maybe they'd look at him as a cheap, post-All Star break signing.  Meh.

Instead of Tyrus Thomas, take a look at Warrick. I'm pretty positive he's a lot cheaper.
