If we can't beat them without kobe, there is no hope.

Why couldn't the dealine be one day after this game?

It will be a tough game either way. Just as we would be a tough match up for them at home without KG or Pierce. It will still be a battle and if we lost without Kobe playing I wouldn't make a big deal out of it.

I'm more concerend with seeing whre both KG and Pierce are physically come May / June. Neither looks right right now.

Lol, the mentality of lots of posters here is the same mentality we blast the Celts for.  We should neve assume a game is going to be easy.  If they walk on to the floor thinking what some of you are, they will get their rear ends handed to them.  Games are won on the court, not on paper.

That stinks that Kobe won't play.  They seem to be playing better without him.

This game won't be easy regardless.  I bet TNT is crying in their beer right now.

It would be nice if the lakers, cavs & orlando had the injuries/missed time by players that we have had for the end of the season.  Check our winning %, granted we aren't playing well but the c's are still one of the better teams in league over the course of the year.

Yes they are, Kobe was still trying to jack up 30 shots a night despite being very physically limited. Removing him from the rotation has allowed the rest of their talent to get some more touches.

Agreed -- that Lakers team is still very good without Kobe Bryant and the Celtics aren't exactly in great form at the moment.

If Boston keeps playing at the level they're currently playing at then I think the Lakers are slight favourites to win this game.

That said, though, I think Boston will give their best effort (relative to current injury recovery statuses) against LA. A much improved display. So Boston should still win albeit in a hard fought game.
