I'm just throwing this out there because I really don't think anything will be done.  Of course I could be wrong.  I believe most of our issues have resulted from the barrage of injuries we've suffered.  If we believe that KG and PP will be sufficiently healthy at playoff time then no trade is really needed.  However, if you don't believe that we will be healthy or that we just aren't a Championship Contender than a trade is almost Mandatory.

Golden State trade Corey Maggette, Vladimar Radmonivich (sp) and Anthony Randolph.

Boston trades Ray Allen and JR Giddens or Walker (it works on Tradechecker with JR 5434468.)

GS basically clears about 19M from their cap and can be a player if FA if they chose.  It opens PT for both Ellis and Curr although it's hard to see how they can both play together, but that's Nellie's problem.

We get a proven, although selfish, athletic big guard who can score, a young athletic forward and Vlade - Cap Filler who comes of next year.

I don't want any part of Maggette's contract. That is almost as atrocious as Scal's.

Maggette is a 6th man of the year level player with a contract that does not overpay him.  Scal makes $3 million to wave a towel.

His contract is fine if it means that Anthony Randolph and/or Brandan Wright come with it.

I do like Maggette as a potential 6th man but not as a starter.  I am not sure he's quick enough to cover two guards and Pierce cannot cover the two anymore.  With that being said I don't think Maggette's contract is all that bad.  He's averaging 22 pts a game and 6 boards while shooting 52% from the field.  He gets to the free throw line a lot and he is a very good free throw shooter.  I understand he's playing for Nelson and his numbers are probably a little inflated due to the fast pace that they play.  Also the other issue with Maggette replacing Ray is Maggette is he's not a good outside shooter.  His offense is very similar to Tony Allen's only just much better and with Rondo not having a good outside shot I feel as if teams would really just pack it in against the Celts and say beat us from the outside.  Maybe getting Raja Bell involved in this trade could help, but that is only if he's going to be healthy.  They would need to find a guy who can really stretch the defense and contribute regularly if you were going to make a deal like this.

I wouldn't mind getting Maggette, but not if it means trading Ray.

Horrible trade. No thanks with Radmonivch. HIS contract is wprse than Scals. Maggette is performing. He gets to the line at least eight times a game and he attacks more often then he settles. He would be a nice sixth man  on our team. As for Randolph he is more unhelathy than KG is. At least KG is playing. Randolph is too much of a risk. I would trade Acal Ta and Giddens for Maggetter but as far this year goes there should be in no  interest in Vlad and very little in Anthony.

Yeah I believe Anthony Randolph is out for the year so I would like to stay far away from him unless we're giving up pieces that we don't use.

So true.  But how could you turn down Randolph, he's a talent.

i agree - although with Ray being a 34% 3 point shooter this year, not a whole lot is different with them.  Randolph is hurt, but depending on the medicals, it could be a buy low opportunity.  His potential superstar talent level is something hard to turn down ... and get him before he is completely ruined by that hell that is Golden State.  Don Nelson is running it like he is trying to ruin these kids careers.
