I know a lot of fans are wondering why this team is struggling with rebounding but it is fairly clear cut to me. Rebounding is about working hard, energy, and desire. As players get older, they just don't have the energy or desire to after the ball like they uses to. Just look at KG. He used to lead the league in rebounding and now he is under ten a game. Multiply that by the almost whole team (which is very old) and you see what we get in the boards.

I am not sure whether this team is going to be able to overcome this handicap. I hope we can find someone at the deadline or that the players just magically turn it on once the playoffs starts but I have my doubts. But I will keep watching nonetheless.

yeah.  we need energy.  i generally think sheed was a good pickup, but the past few games he's been killing us in this department, highlighted by two possessions at the end of the game (leaving Charlie Vill open for the 3 and not helping when stuckey got by rondo).. as far as rebounding he just seems to be far from the basket so often...

The rebounding is worrying.
  • I'd like to see Rondo put more effort on the glass. His rebounding has dropped from 5.2 per game to only 4.0 despite playing more minutes this season (36 to 33) A rebound every 6.35 minutes versus every 9 minutes. A big difference.
  • I think Garnett's rebounding numbers will improve once he gets back into game shape + his minutes increase. He was getting better on the backboards as the season progressed before this injury layoff.
