BOS Sends - R. Allen, Wallace, Davis, Daniels, House, T. Allen, Giddens, Scalabrine
BOS Gets - Iguodala, Salmons, Hinrich, Dalembert, Jason Smith

Rondo/Hinrich
Iggy/Hinrich/Salmons
Pierce/Salmons
KG/Dalemburt/Smith
Perk/Dalemburt/Williams

Personally I'm all for it! We get better defensively, have a healthier crew with a higher B-ball IQ, and locker room chemistry stays straight as long as Rondo/Hinrich are aight. Maybe we could also get KG for Big Al or Bosh! That could potentially make us one of the best teams ever.

*facepalm*
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

This is insane.  With the exception of Daniels, if the C's really felt that they needed to win a game, no one likely would've missed a game this season.  They're just being ultra conservative with every injury to prevent last year from reoccurring.  The last thing we need to do is make radical changes.

Sure, we could update our age, athleticism, and depth; but we'd also downgrade our experience, talent, and chemistry.

Let's also not forget that Ray has been the only truly healthy player on this team all year.  Do we really want to trade him?
Pierce and BBD would have both missed games with their surgeries.
And TA with the ankle problems really would have been kept out, even if we were a mediocre team.

I stand corrected; however, my main point remains: none of those injuries were the result of age.  Pierce's injury was a fluke, and Rondo and TA certainly aren't old.

As Jeff points out on the front page, this team is still just behind the Cavs.  Once they're healthy, they should be in front of them.

This trade is obviously a little outlandish, but lets break down some of the arguments:

Expensive: Dalembert and Salmons expire next year, and Hinrich is not much more expensive than Wallace would be over that same period. Iggy does not come cheap, but Pierce expires at the end of next season as well, which will help defray the costs.

75% of the Roster: We only trade one starter. Our bench changes a lot, but in possitive ways. Remember, Daniels and Wallace are both new and are both out at this time. Daniels may not be back. The rest of those guys - Scal, TA, Giddens, and Davis wont matter in the playoffs anyway.

Why does this move make sense?

1) We get the best player involved - Iggy
2) We also get the third and fourth best players involved - Salmons and Hinrich
3) Dalembert is an excellent rebounder and shotblocker, so the team wont lose much when Perk takes a break
4) Rondo, Iguodala and Perkins is a better future than Rondo and Perkins
5) Iguodala and Hinrich matchup against Lebron, Wade, Johnson and Kobe better than anyone else available.
6) Dalembert give Howard fits

Nobody we're getting back are worth their contracts. Salmons seems to come back to earth after his career year last year and hasn't been impressive. Hinrich's been up and down, and I don't think he's going to be a defensive ace. Have you ever seen him guard LeBron? I don't see it working out. And Perk and Wallace give Howard fits. Heck, Baby did at times in the playoffs last year.

We're trading away R. Allen, Wallace, Davis, Daniels, House, Scalabrine and our BBIQ is going to increase? Completely disagree. Ray, Sheed, Daniels and Scal all have at least as high a BBIQ as anyone coming back and probably higher.

It's also worth noting that after the all-star break our schedule gets easier.
