I know Wade went off tonight, but when Ray guarded him, I thought Ray played him and limited him as well as any player I have seen limit Wade when he is hot in a long long time.

Unheralded and not talked about much will be Rays defense on Wade in that overtime. I thought it was terrific.

The LeBrons got a gift win tonight. Stern just happens to suspend Arenas just a little while before the Wiz have to play the LeBrons. Coincidence?? I think not.

 ;) :D ;D

This was the best game of the year so far from an entertainment standpoint, especially the last 6 seconds of regulation and the OT. Wowser.

Agreed, Ray did a good job! 44 points on 34 shots attempts (15 made) is fine for me. Wade blew by Ray almost everytime in the first half but Ray did a very good job in the 4th and in OT.

A major portion of Wade's 44 wasn't against Ray as he was sitting due to foul problems.

Great game by Rondo. It would be a travesty if he's not included in this year's All-star game.

Great play called by Doc at the end of regulation. Equally awesome pass by The Captain too.

He had 18 in the first quarter, nearly all against Ray, Nick. No one was stopping Wade tonight, no disrespect to Ray.

Ray's defense was terrible in the first quarter, no doubt about it.  As the game went on, though, he definitely picked it up.  By my count, Wade scored 30 points while Ray was in the game, but of those, 22 came in the first half.

(My count may be off a little, but if so, only slightly.)

]8 of those points came against Tony Allen in the last couple minutes of the quarter, When Rondo cam out I'm pretty sure they moved Ray over to guard Chalmers and Tony took Wade.

I think like at least 15-17 points of Wade's was against Tony.

Again, holding a guy to 29 points isn't anything to write home about, but I thought when it mattered most, Ray's defense was great on Wade.

Ray stayed on Wade until the end of the first, there was even a few posts in this thread complaining about Ray staying on him. I am 100% sure of it as i was annoyed by it myself, so all 18 in the first came on Ray. He scored 7 in the 2nd, all after Ray came in for TA. In the 3rd TA came in for Ray with 9:41 to go, Wade scored 8 the rest of the quarter, including a dunk on the break after a Pierce TO, and a fallaway jumper on Rondo.

Tony sat out the whole 4th where Wade scored 6, then in OT Wade scores 5 more, 3 of which were on TA. So Wade scored two of his points on Rondo, 7 on TA, 29 on Ray, and 6 on three fast break dunks. Now let me say i think Ray did a good job on him, stayed infront of him alot, forced Wade to take tough jumpers and contested layups. Dude was just on tonight, and nobody can really stop him when he is going like that.

Watching this one for the first time (re-broadcast on CSNNE) ... Donny and his "I was Ray's best friend at UConn" crap ... "I was a witness to Ray shooting 3 or 4 hundred free-throws a day, cuz I was right there shooting them, too!"  ... ugh! Somebody cut his mic ... please?!?  :P

Wow ... what an awesome game! The Boyz dug in when they had to and pulled out a great comeback! Ray and Rondo and even Big Baby ... great hustle and perseverance. That alley-oop play that Doc called at the end of regulation was beautiful ... perfect play and perfect execution by Pierce and Rage. It's truly amazing that the Celts can have so many turnovers, (24 - over twice as many as Miami), and over 30 less field-goal attempts, (WOW!), and still pull out the win. We finally get the benefit of the foul calls, so not much to complain about the officiating, and I think Doc ran the rotations extremely well, and kept the match-ups relatively even. Great game, and an even better over-time win! (Gotta watch it again at the noon replay on Comcast).

That alley-oop from Pierce to Rondo was incredible. I never would have expected Rondo to be on the receiving end of something like that with the game on the line. I'm just bummed I didn't catch the game on television  :(
