I think Doc should have played Tony Allen alot more in the 4th quarter.  Yes, Tony had 5 TO's, but he had great energy out there and things seemed to happened for the positive while Mr. Allen was out there on the floor.  I also think they could have used his defensive tenacity to slow Monta Ellis down towards the end of the game. Sometimes I just don't get Doc's lineups or substitutions.

Tony frustrated me yesterday because he matched every nice play with a brain fart type play.  Garnett has been on Perk to focus, but TA needs it far more.

Yeah, Knucklehead Tony emerged last night.  He had been under wraps until then.  I do love the energy that he brings, and TA at his best is better than Marquis at his best.  Unfortunately, TA at his worst is also much worse than Marquis at his worst.  All in all, I'm happy to have him back and healthy (he doesn't seem to be remotely bothered by any lingering injury concerns), but I still don't trust him in crunch time.  Too apt to make a boneheaded play.

Still, often times our first unit (other than Rondo) lacks much energy, and the infusion of TA and Baby just energizes the team when they come in.

This is definitely a bad time for this post.  Tony was absolutely horrible last night.  He gave them very little positive, but piled on the negative.  Now, it was one bad game after 3 decent ones (they weren't nearly as good as some people make it seem...I think there were just low expectations), so I am going to lay off him a bit.  But I think Doc had plenty of reason to bench Tony last night, based on his play, and his history of not being able to turn from "bad tony" into "good tony" within the same game.  He has shown us many times that once Bad Tony shows up, he really just gets worse, because he starts pressing.

Maybe if Tony had been in at the end of the game he might have slowed down Ellis who was scoring at will. Would have rather seen him on Ellis than Rondo.

Tony played pretty mediocre defense when he was in there, and he absolutely killed them on offense.  I don't think it would have made much of a difference.

tony needs to stop jumping into his defender on the fast break and getting called the offensive foul. its bugging the crap out of me.  on a side note  bill walker needs to play more.
