Why not take PP's downtime to experiment with:

Perk
Wallace
KG
Ray
Rondo

Shelden fills in for the big man bench minutes and if Baby is back you can rotate him in as well, then the bench rotation falls more naturally.  These 5 guys are all all-star calibre players so why not put your best 5 available first? This would create matchup problems galore (though some will argue that we'll struggle to guard other teams, we'll see). If not starting, I'd at least give this unit a run to see what happens

While I'm not in love with that lineup, I think there's a strong case to be made right now that (especially if Baby's back) that 5 of our top 8 players (who are healthy) are 4/5s.  Given that point, it certainly would be worth giving some big lineups some test runs.

While such lineups may be not be ideal, neither is any lineup that includes J.R. Giddens or Bill Walker.  It's also not ideal playing Ray and Tony 48 mpg.  And let's also remember, while KG or Baby might have to guard quicker 3s, smaller 3s will also have to guard them, so it goes both ways.

I say give it a try and see what happens.

I'd rather see our starters (4) of them have walker on the court at the same time.  Mistakes he makes (which he will) can be made up by our best 4.  Than , eddie, tony & sheed can be the anchors of the 2nd unit.  Ray is going to be seeing extended minutes imo.  Usually doc makes a point (and a good one) to keep ray or paul on the court at all times.  To me let billy get the time with starters than he shouldn't have to press to do things he won't be able to at this level.  He is going to bring energy, speed and rebounding easily.  His defense which is tough is going to get him fouls.  Let him harass the other teams sf, remember mcgrady in preseason last year?
Opposing teams sf won't be able to be guarded by kg who with the big lineup becomes sf.  If scal is to start he can help in situations at sf but again cannot stay w/ athletic sf.

Only if the other team throws out a big line up, KG doesn't have the quicks to guard other 3's anymore, if anyone remembers him against Al Harrington this year in the overtime game.
I think that lineup would work though, against an Orlando big line up where they throw out Rashard Lewis at the 3.

you could use this lineup to play more of a zone as well, no one would be able to penetrate it and the group is long enough to get to most perimeter shots easily
