He is a good backup PG.

-Shoots 44% FG for his career
-averages 72 games a year for 12 yrs so you know he is reliable
-Has played on contending teams with the Spurs
-He is 6'4 so he and Eddie House can play together
-Won't cost anything as far as giving up bench players in a trade

He is the perfect backup PG for this team. Could be had for the vet minimum . Most importantly he is a TEAM player, unlike Nate the not so great.

5 years ago, you are probably right, but I think Daniels is pretty cooked.

He's the same age as Billups. He hasn't played much the last few years because he was backing up Chris Paul and Gilbert Arenas. He would only need to play 10 mins a game here of steady ball handling and running the offense, he wont need to be a scorer with House, BBD , Ray or PP and Sheed playing with the second unit there will be plenty of scoring. His legs can't be shot that much since he has been a bench player basically his whole career and has never suffered any serious injuries.

What team is Daniels with now?
"If somebody would have told you when he was playing with the Knicks that Nate Robinson was going to change a big time game and he was going to do it mostly because of his defense, somebody would have got slapped."  Mark Jackson

Mostly for laughs, (but slightly serious, also. haha)

What about brining in Antonio Daniels, Vaseline Marbury, and Jerry Stackhouse??

Daniels has looked truly awful the last couple of years. He's not an upgrade over anyone on the Cs roster except Giddens. Daniels' uncle Herb is also an upgrade over Giddens.

How has he looked awful the last few years?

2 years ago in Washington he started 63 game when Arenas went down. His averages were

8.5 PPG, 3 RPG, 5APG, 1 TO, 46% FG'S

Those are some pretty [dang] good number for a guy who is not a scorer ,but a role player .  Last year was a bit of a down year because he was traded and played behind Chris Paul half the year.

The only thing he doesn't do well on offense is shoot the 3, which isn't a problem because the C's have plenty of outside shooters.

He couldn't get on the floor after that though, and was terrible when he did get playing time.

you mean for 1 year? Every player has a down year now and then , but to say he is done after 1 off season is crazy. Of course he couldn't get on the court much he was backing up Chris Paul....
