Haven't been here in a while but i'm back to say this...

I made a statement about a month ago that read "I'll be surprised if the Celtics can even beat the Grizzlies" (when the c's were struggling). I'm not eating my words just saying the Celtics are now a legit team for this year. Personally I believed a while back that the Memphis  Grizzlies game was the ultimate test for the C's (you guys witnessed my point tonight).  ;) Good win for the C's ;D

p.s. Wallace have better start hitting those threes consistently... :(
I'm kinda perplexed by what you're trying to communicate here about the Celtics.

Aren't you the person that said the Grizzlies were foolish to not start Iverson and let him go, that the Celtics needed to sign and start Iverson and that the Celtics were going to finish behind Toronto?

The Grizzlies are still a very poor defensive team and only a solid offensive team. They're still considerably below average.

I think they're close to a point where they're going to need to begin another rebuilding process ... or at least a major retooling process.

Ray is so ridiculously clutch - I think that is often forgotten in some of these trade ideas.

Their entire starting five with the exception of Randolph is crazy young.  Add in Sam Young, Darrell Arthur and Hasheem Thabeet off the bench.  They don't need to rebuild.  Assuming that they can keep this core intact, their outlook on the future is one of the best in the NBA, rivalled only by OKC and Portland.

I'm not sold on Conley as a starting PG, but otherwise I think the pieces are all there for them to become relevant in a year or two.

Just saw the game and what a game! :o

I expected it to be tough but not that tough... Celtics' defense wasn't really effective as it usually but seriously the refs helped the Grizzlies big time in the first half and then called 3 bogus fouls on KG and Perk to put them in foul trouble.

We were great offensively, except for the turnovers, which were costly, especially in the end when we had a 6 point lead and an opportunity to finish the Grizz'. The second unit was OK, and TA had a good game, especially with his rebounds and hustle on offense. Shelden was excellent getting boards (offensive mostly) too, and Eddie hit some big shots.

Rasheed dominated Randolph in the post. Too bad he attempted many threes, and they were contested ones! Bad choices but at least he made a crucial one. The starting five was excellent offensively, good sharing of the ball. Another excellent game by Rondo, who did a great job at the FT line.

Finally, Ray's three was amazing. Not that I didn't expect it but... when I saw Pierce's pass getting touched by a Grizzly, I thought "crap, here is the ultimate turnover which will kill us..." but then Ray got the ball in his hands, calmly shot the three and hit it. So great and so confident, the best clutch shooter in the league, by far! Loved his reaction (always classy) and his teammates reactions (Sheed went crazy).

11 in a row, and most importantly, 11-2 on the road. :)

PS : don't know if you guys catched it but at one point in the game, during a free throw shooting by the Grizzlies (I think), Rondo got near the sideline and Scalabrine brought him Gatorade. Just made me laugh to see Scal playing the waiter for Rondo. ;D

Slight correction....C's are 12-1 on the road.
