Interesting poll on ESPN's Daily Dime has a poll asking who you feel is the best PG in the NBA this year. I think what they are asking you is take a look at the way the PGs are playing in the vacuum of just this year and not what they have done before hand and who do you feel is this year's best NBA PG.

A.) Rajon Rondo

B.) Deron Williams

C.) Steve Nash

D.) Chris Paul

E.) Other

Right now, as I write this, the results are:

Rondo - 12%
Williams - 16%
Nash - 53%
Paul - 14%
Other - 5%

Nationwide, Nash is pretty much the winner with each of the other three winning close to each of their homes. Interestingly, looking at the map, Paul and Rondo are at a virtual standstill across the nation.

I think this is a clear indication that nationwide Rondo is starting to be recognized for the star he is and what he brings to this team as a pure PG. Given the success of the Celtics, I wouldn't doubt, if Rajon keeps up his stellar play going, that he is looked at as the second best PG in the NBA, strictly for this year, by year's end.

Just to be on the poll is a pretty big indication of how much respect Rondo is getting - he's not the #1 PG yet, but he's certainly working his way into the conversation.

To be fair, I voted for Rondo, but I don't actually think he is the best at the moment.

That Rondo is nationwide being considered as an equal to Paul so soon after Paul was being considered an MVP candidate is amazing to me.

It's pretty impressive Rondo made the top four.  I think it's deserved, too.

I think it's fair to say that Nash has been the best offensive point guard this year.  Overall, though, I'm not sure how I'd rank them.  Probably CP3, Deron, Nash, Rondo, with the top three being virtually tied and Rondo a very, very slight step below.

I voted Nash. I think he is definitely this year's best PG. But for this team, I think Rondo is definitely the best fit.

Derron Williams is the only PG I would trade him for.

Nash while playing at an MVP level offensively only has a few years left and I have never thought Chris Paul was as good as his stats indicate.  Great players just not Derron Williams great, IMO.

pretty fair pole. Nash is by far the best pg right now, and rondo is certainly in the top 5.

Awesome that he's up there, he is definitely a top 4 PG in the NBA and that is a serious honor. Just like Gorman said during one game, "All you have to do to motivate Rondo is to talk up the other teams point guard." Rondo's physical gifts combined with his talent give him the ability to outplay any point guard in the league on any given night.

I love what Rondo's been doing lately and I'm glad to see he's getting some recognition. Nash I always criticize for his lack of defense but I always acknowledge his brilliance on offense and what he's doing this year at his age and with that back problem is incredible.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Consider their ages:

Nash, 35
Paul, 25
Williams, 24
Rondo, 23
