Garden Parking

Wondering if any of you guys have any good suggestions for parking around the garden area for games? I have usually either just taken the Green line in, or parked in the Commons Garage and walked over, but wanted to ask to see if any of you had any good insight into some good parking deals closer to that garden. Thanks guys.

Do what you've been doing, or see if you can find free on-street parking in the back bay or the north end and then walk to the T.  The parking at the Garden is exhorbitantly expensive.

I typically find meter parking by the Public Garden. They shut off at 8pm, so it usually costs me $2 to park for a C's game.

When I drive in, and I can't find on-street parking, I go to Pi Alley garage on Washington Street, right next to Government Center.  It is only $12, and it is very easy to get out of compared to places closer to the Garden.

If you are looking for some entertainment while leaving the game, use the Government Center garage.  Costs $25, but you get to see some entertainment in the line to get out.  They recently changed it so you pay at a kiosk before you get in your car, but when someone tries to pay at the exit and ties up the line, chaos ensues.  A chorus of horns, and endless harassment of the driver holding up the line.  It's a great time.

Street parking has gotten a lot tougher over the years as Mumbles keeeps adding "resident only" parking to the "West End." You can get lucky tho and it is worth a loop or two to look first.  Find a garage you like and use it. There are several within a 5 minute walk that run $12-14.  Robbery in my opinion but it's Boston...

I always park at the museum of science.  Its about a 5 min walk to the Gahdin and as long as you pahk after 5, its $6.50 [Or free with a membership card]

We always park at the garage at the end of the street ... right across from the Garden, then after the game we grab a bite or cup of coffee, and by the time we leave there's no traffic problem. I'm also never in a hurry to leave the venue, so we always sit and talk at the Garden a while. I have to drive my daughter back to her place in Hull before heading to Maine, so the later the better, as far as traffic is concerned, (and I love to drive at night). I used to go all the time when living in Boston, but now it's such a rare treat, that I like to just sit in my seat a while after the game, and soak it in.
