The Kings' roster isn't exactly full of great rebounders, either; nobody on the team averages more than ~8 rebounds a game, and they played Spencer Hawes and Omri Casspi a lot in the front court, neither of whom are very good rebounders.
Sacramento out-rebounded their opponents on the season (+0.5 per game).

That is a huge difference versus a team who is getting out-rebounded by almost ten boards a night.

But I don't believe he's a PG, and I think his team won't be truly successful until they start playing him as a SG in a Dwyane Wade-ish role instead of having him at the point trying to run the offense all the time.
I'm not sure what Tyreke's best position is going to be. I don't think it matters much either. Tyreke is going to be an elite player either way ... he'll either (1) improve his PG skills and be very successful as a point, or, (2) play the off guard position full time. A position where Evans is already an elite player.

His size and inside scoring ability give him a lot of advantages at the point guard position, but his inability to really function as a point guard brings almost as many disadvantages.
This ties in with the above point -- Evans will either learn to be a dominant point guard or the Kings will switch him to the two spot full time -- Consequently, I don't see this as a long term problem. Tyreke is going to be hugely successful whichever way it goes.

Bottom line is I feel like Tyreke gets more attention for his accomplishments because he plays at PG instead of SG.
I don't know about that. Evans gets a lot of attention for being a big point guard but I don't think that detracts from his accomplishments + I'd expect him to get just as much recognition for his outstanding play if he was playing the two guard spot full time.

Statement = Steph Curry is a better point guard than Evans.

Statement = Tyreke Evans is difficult to play with and Steph Curry makes his teammates lives easier.

Statement = Tyreke Evans is currently more effective as a shooting guard than at the point.

As far as I am concerned, these are all undeniable facts.
------------------------------------------------------

Statement: Tyreke Evans is not a point guard

I think it's too early to rule Evans out as a point guard. He has shown some impressive traits (composure, decision making, team defense) at the position and should improve by leaps and bounds in other areas (more rounded passer, better at playing alongside other talent, shooting ability) over the next few years.

Will that improvement make the point guard spot his best position? I don't know. Maybe. Maybe not. Too early to say. Even with improvement in those areas ... Tyreke might continue to be more effective as a two guard.

Tyreke Evans is already an All-Star caliber shooting guard and should become an All-NBA level player in the near future. It's not important to me which position he achieves that as.

If it is the most talent, Evens.

I would go Jennings over Curry.  Stats (outside of shooting %) are not that far off but Jennings had a bigger impact on a team, lotto to playoffs.  (though not by himself.  Bogut also had a big impact)

I'm sorry, you can't win ROY if you shoot below 40% for the season...you just can't.  I really think the Bucks' success this year had a lot more to do with Bogut than it did with Jennings.

Luke Ridnour has played more minutes down the stretch than Jennings has; you have to attribute their success to his play at the 1 to a large degree as well.

Here's another argument for Curry:

Last night as I was falling asleep, it occurred to me that the Kings are probably going to get another high draft pick.  You know what?  I couldn't really think of many players that I'd want to see go to the Kings, because their development would inevitably be slowed by having to play with a ballhog like Tyreke.  Can you imagine him trying to play alongside John Wall?  How about Kevin Martin-esque Evan Turner?  DeMarcus Cousins?  I wouldn't wish Sacramento on any of those players.

On the other hand, any of those guys (except perhaps J-Wall) would make a great dynamic duo with Curry.  The real guy the Warriors need to get rid of is Monta Ellis, who ironically is a shorter version of Tyreke.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.
