Antonio Daniels and Brent Barry were waived yesterday.  I'd prefer either guy to Tyronn Lue.  Imagine if Ainge fired Lue and hired one of these guys.

Haha.  Well, none of the three is actually all that great of a player at this stage of their career.  Lue has a pre-existing relationship with both Doc and KG, and he's probably going to be asked to do some coaching work, as well.  I don't think this is *solely* to have an emergency point guard around.

Yeah, none of the three is great, but I think Daniels is the best defender of the bunch, and while Barry can't guard anyone, he is one of the great 3 pt shooters in the league.  I love watching him shoot, and for a couple years I've been fantasizing about having Eddie, Ray, and Barry around the 3 pt line.  Those guys are all automatic, and it would be tough to stay with all 3.

  • Rondo = Good
Of those three guys I'd guess Barry to be a good coach before either of the other ones.  I guess I'm just assuming he is good mannered and well spoken like his brother, though.

We wanted Barry two years ago, and also last year. This year, we just don't need him. And also, Hudson > Daniels after watching preseason.

Apparently, Daniels has been contacted by Cleveland about joining their squad.  I'd be scared, if Antonio Daniels didn't stink. ;)

Tyronne Lue is one of KG's closest friends, also. When you're scraping the bottom of the NBA barrel things like that mean more than who might be a better...what, twelfth man? fifteenth?
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

technically, the way we're looking at it, right now he's the 16th. But i actually think that he might have him here to be part of the coaching staff.
