When I saw the headline, "Pitino says he paid for an abortion," my first reaction was, "That's kind of a harsh thing to say about the Travis Knight contract."

Hey-yo!
That deserves a TP.

Getting a woman who is not your wife pregnant and then paying for her to get an abortion sucks. It sucks, and it stinks, and it sucks.
Double rainbow all the way

On ATH, Blackistone is saying he is expecting his resignation in the next couple days...what a jerk...

People need to chill out. Yeah, adultery is not a good thing and abortions are controvertial- but he really didn't do anything illegal (except for maybe that the sex was in an empty restaurant).

Pitino failed while he was in Boston, but I don't hate him for that- and I don't hate him for this either. Other than the face that woman was trying to extort him for millions of dollars, I don't really consider this news. I guess maybe I have just been around the block a few times...

having sex in an empty restaurant is illegal?

The thing I always keep in mind when evaluating any basketball coach is the following: had the Celtics won the 1997 draft lottery, Rick Pitino still might be coach here.  Moreover, he might have a few rings and be mentioned in the same breath as Auerbach, Heinsohn, and Jones.

>>> I know this is the "Around the NBA" section but for all of us who've had to suffer through Pitino's years as Celtics coach, I figured it's about time he got some come-uppance.

And....Perhaps Toine wouldn't be such a villified person.   AS the old saying goes, Winning Cures All Ills.
